About Jenna

Hi, I’m Jenna (she/her).
I am a Life Coach and Nature Guide.

With years of experience guiding people both in nature as an outdoor guide and through their lives via life coaching, I have followed my passion of helping others discover the power of their inner soul and the power of Mother Earth.

Some of my formal training includes:

  • B.S. in Tourism, Hospitality, & Recreation Management, emphasis in Outdoor Education & Leadership at Cal State Northridge

  • 2-year Advanced Spiritual Psychology program at the University of Santa Monica

  • Beautiful You Life Coach training with Beautiful You Coaching Academy

  • Certified Wilderness First Responder

While I value and cherish this formal training, perhaps my biggest teacher has been life herself. I was diagnosed with cancer at the young age of 7 and was cured after 2.5 years of intensive chemotherapy. I went on with my life, unaware of the immense repressed trauma that would surface in my late adolescent years.

For several years I suffered without understanding what I was experiencing, until as a young adult I finally started to learn about the PTSD, depression, and anxiety that crippled me. This launched a healing journey that spanned my 20’s and led me to countless healing modalities & a path of spiritual exploration. I benefitted from therapy, meditation, mindfulness, yoga, energy work, massage therapy, holistic medicine, and more.

As I began to lead multi-day camping and backpacking trips, I discovered the magic of disconnecting from society & reconnecting to Earth - and through this, my true nature. Layers of societal expectations, suffering, and false ideas of who I was began to shed. I experienced marked transformation every single time I immersed myself in nature and it quickly became one of my most potent healing methods.

However, it could only get me so far. It wasn’t until I studied and practiced spiritual psychology that I truly began to feel free from my past & uncover my true self that I had been fighting to free! I continued on to work with several life coaches and mentors that introduced me to another way of life - one with unlimited potential where I discovered & owned my true inner power to create my life. A life in deep harmony with nature where I felt nourished and supported by the very ground I walked upon.

It is my joy and passion to share this with you! I am obsessed with the power of combining nature and life coaching to facilitate true transformation, freedom, and embodying one’s inner power! I would be honored to be a guide along your journey!

When I am not outside enjoying nature or guiding others, I find joy in creating art in many forms including painting, crafting, photography, and writing. I believe deeply in the power of adventure and stories, with fantasy novels being my favorite to read. As a lifelong reader, some of the most impactful book series in my life have been The Lord of the Rings, the Inheritance Cycle, and Shadow & Bone.

I believe that all humans are unique expressions of life herself and as such, are unlimited.

Growing up in society, we believe in limitation and forget our true power. However, we can learn to shift our beliefs, thoughts, and emotions to get back into alignment with our truest selves. This then allows our innate worth and inner power to shine through unhindered, and we tap into our co-creative powers. We can learn to utilize our mind, emotions, and body to intentionally design and create our realities. This is the process I teach and guide my clients through.

I also draw upon Earth-based spirituality & indigenous wisdom to teach my clients how they can relate to nature in a way that is supportive, loving, and nourishing. To live life in a way that allows the power of nature to co-create their dream life with them.

In addition to my formal training listed above, I have studied with mentors as well as on my own: neuroscience, quantum physics, energetic creation, shamanism & Earth-based spirituality. I draw upon all that I have learned, including my own ancestral Mexican, Aztec, Irish, & Celtic indigenous traditions, to share the most potent techniques and teachings that will support my clients in freeing their powerful souls and creating a life they love.

My Coaching Philosophy

There are few things I believe in stronger than nature’s power to facilitate deep and lasting transformation. I have both experienced it myself & witnessed it in others time and time again.

When we are in nature, we are removed from society & our everyday lives. As we allow our minds to calm & tune our bodies into the pace of the Earth, we can allow all of the limitations, expectations, stress, and false ideas of ourselves to fall away. What is left is our true essence - our true self. In nature, we can simply BE.

In alignment with indigenous traditions, I believe in a feminine approach to nature. This is in contrast to a masculine approach to nature that much of society takes & can be toxic - of conquering, dismissing  disregarding, or exploiting the Earth. When we instead choose to go into nature with respect and the intention to connect, we can slow down, be present, and receive wisdom. As we tune into Earth’s rhythm, we tap into a way of living that is in flow with the power of nature and our feminine expression.

There is a reason she has been referred to as Mother Earth for millennia - nature demonstrates a feminine way of being and how to live embodied in our feminine power. She shows us how to be both loving and powerful, both peaceful and bold. In my life coaching and nature retreats, I guide women to live in alignment with nature and embody their feminine power.

My Nature Philosophy

Indigenous Peoples: I acknowledge the Chumash indigenous peoples upon whose ancestral lands I reside. I recognize the trauma and oppression they’ve experienced through colonialism and honor their resilience and presence through current day. I am grateful to the Chumash people for nurturing this land for millennia, which spans the California coast from Malibu to San Luis Obispo and the Channel Islands. I recognize the value of their ancestral wisdom today and commit to supporting the Chumash people and the preservation of their culture and Šmuwič language. I annually donate a portion of my profits to an indigenous-led nonprofit.

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion: Even though I primarily work with and speak to women, I welcome individuals of all ethnicities, genders, abilities, and backgrounds to my offerings. I am committed to contributing to a more just and equitable world and am actively engaged in the lifelong inner and outer work this entails.

Sustainability: One of my core pillars is honoring the earth. I consider the environmental impacts of my business decisions while understanding the complexities of sustainability in modern society. Where feasible, I make the most sustainable choices available to me. I also acknowledge that a truly sustainable future is inextricably linked to the  well-being and equality of indigenous peoples and other marginalized groups.
