Claim Your Worth

Jenna at the beach

If you were anything like me growing up, you had a variety of sources - like society, life circumstances, family, friends, etc. - that you interacted with that left you believing that, in some way or another, you were not worthy…

From what I’ve learned and heard from many people, this is a very human experience.

I also learned along my healing journey, particularly in Spiritual Psychology, that

I AM THE ONLY PERSON WHO CAN CLAIM MY WORTH

No one else can do it for me!!

Even the most loving, helpful, or supportive friend or therapist or coach can never claim my worth for. me.

I realized this starkly when I was working with a coach a number of years ago. I was learning and expanding my mind, understanding of myself and reality, and navigating life on so many more empowering levels.

I was learning so many new techniques, skills, and paradigms that intellectually “clicked” right away for me. I got it, I believed in so much of it, and it felt so freeing, expansive, liberating!!

And I realized - intellectually “getting” something is an entirely different experience from applying it - integrating it - EMBODYING IT.

A huge part of my journey to where I am today, has been CLAIMING WHAT I AM WORTHY OF. What I have always been worthy of.

*I am worthy of being alive

*I am worthy of being safe

*I am worthy of being healthy

*I am worthy of feeling happy

*I am worthy of feeling free

*I am worthy of living the life I desire

NO ONE ELSE CAN CLAIM THIS FOR ME.

No one else can claim your worth for you, either.

When I realize it is time for me to claim - or reclaim - my worth in a new area, or deepen it in another, I:

  • First of all, RECOGNIZE what it is that I want to believe I am worthy of, that I was (possibly subconsciously) not believing I was worthy of up until that moment

  • Then, I do what I need to do to OWN MY WORTH in this area!! This has meant different things at different periods of time in my life. Including:

  • Having a vision!!! This is so essential! Writing out a vision of what I desire to feel, be, and identify as… This could be as bullet points, a detailed description, a visual representation, or even writing it out as present tense as if you already are living as this person! Visions, in my experience, are one of the most potent tools for leaping into new realities and ways of being.

  • Affirmations, or phrases, that I write and/or repeat to myself to support my mind in believing and rewiring to this new reality. For example, “I am worthy of being safe.”

  • Feeling, and practicing being this person, within my body and energetic state. For example, taking a few minutes out of my day to relax into the feelings of safety in my body and emotions. Doing this more and more helps one’s body & emotional state recondition itself to this new setpoint as it’s new normal over time.

  • Taking action aligned with this new person I am choosing to be! At times, this has meant for me: standing up for myself and having challenging conversations at work; saying no to something that is not aligned for me; holding my body and moving through life as if I already believed I was WORTHY of the thing I am claiming for myself. Astoundingly - or perhaps obviously - I have experienced very quick feedback in my life by doing this… People often quickly mirroring back to me what I am claiming for myself - it’s like they know I am worthy of it, because I am acting like I am & being a person that is!

  • I practice the above repeatedly, in a way that feels good to me, and over time, often without even realizing when the shift has occurred, I find myself as this new person! As someone fully embodied, believing in, and CLAIMING MY WORTH in this new area!!!

I believe that the first step in having anything we desire is first to believe WE ARE WORTHY OF IT.

When I’ve OWNED this, I’ve witnessed the world & my reality shift right in front of my eyes. I’ve experienced: work policies and responsibilities shift into being more desirable, after internally claiming that I was worthy of enjoying my work and life more. I’ve experienced work interactions shift into being 99% positive and pleasant, after claiming that I am worthy of being respected at work in addition to all other areas of my life. And so many more miracles than I can even think of right now!!!

When I have claimed my worth in new ways, LIFE HAS BROUGHT ME WHAT I WAS WORTHY OF ALL ALONG.

We have to go first. We have to claim it FIRST.

What is one area of life that you would like to experience differently?

What false belief can you recognize, where you are believing you are NOT worthy of this?

HOORAY!!!

You know what you want.

You know what you get to claim next that YOU ARE ALREADY WORTHY OF.

You have some examples of how you can claim your worth now.

You are already on the way!!!!!

<3

I BELIEVE THAT WE ARE ALL WORTHY OF EVERYTHING WE DESIRE.

And for me, working with a coach or mentor has been invaluable in my journey - to receive support as I recognize and reclaim new and varied aspects of my WORTH along my path toward living out my desires in this lifetime.

This is a brief explanation & intro of how we can claim our worth… it can be challenging, confronting and bring up old pains as we move through this journey.

However you choose to journey, I genuinely hope you seek out and receive support that feels good to you.

And in my experience, the challenges or pains of the journey to claim my worth have ALWAYS been MORE than worth it when I’ve come out the other side…

:)

YOU ARE WORTHY.

IT IS TIME YOU CLAIM IT. (AND I THINK YOU ALREADY KNOW THIS.)

CLAIM YOUR WORTH AND EVERYTHING YOU ARE WORTHY OF.

Much love,

Jenna

I acknowledge the Chumash indigenous peoples upon whose ancestral lands I reside. I recognize the trauma and oppression they’ve experienced through colonialism and honor their resilience and presence through current day. I am grateful to the Chumash people for nurturing this land for millennia, which spans the California coast from Malibu to San Luis Obispo and the Channel Islands. I recognize the value of their ancestral wisdom today and commit to supporting the Chumash people and the preservation of their culture and Šmuwič language.
