Support YOU this May

HAPPY MAY!


I feel inspired today, to share a practice I developed that I use each month.


As one who lives in constant flow with life - with Mother Earth, her seasons, her rhythms - and in accordance the rhythms, seasons, and flow of my own body, I have found that I am constantly shifting, regularly evolving, changing and flowing as the year moves through me, my mind, my body as well.


As such, I have found that supportive systems in my life only work - when it’s built into them to shift, to move, to be adjusted - regularly. Continuously. Intentionally !!!


I am excited to guide you through a practice below so you can - if you desire - develop a support system for you - this month. 


I have a personal ritual to check in in the first few days of each new month - to see what my mind, body, emotional self, and soul need to be supported - THAT PARTICULAR MONTH !!!


With May being in FULL SPRING mode, I used the energy of this season to flow through the creation and deciding of my May support.

 



So I invite you to take a moment, grab a journal and a quiet space to just be. Take a few deep breaths, tuning into all parts of YOU and ask your beautiful full self:


What things will support me FOR JUST THIS MONTH OF MAY (or whichever month you are creating this in) -


Daily -



Weekly -



To complete one time before the month is over? -




Some ideas of areas you can check in regarding, to see what these parts of you may need are below. Don’t be overwhelmed by this list! It’s long to give you ideas. I encourage you to be gentle and check in with what you truly, deeply need to nourish, love, and support YOU. I tend to find more and more, that LESS IS OFTEN, GENUINELY MORE, when it comes to self-honoring and supportive practices!! <3 


These are some guiding questions when I am exploring support options:


  • What EXCITES me? Gives me energy to think about completing daily/weekly/this month?!

  • What feels GOOD?

  • What do I WANT to do?

  • What gives me the most potent benefits I am desiring??



With all of this in mind, here are some areas you may desire to create supportive systems in place to tend yourself this month:


  • Social

  • Health

  • Self-Care

  • Mental health

  • Emotional tending

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Movement

  • Nature/outside/ sun time

  • Spiritual

  • Food

  • Creativity

  • Future desires & goals

  • And last and possibly most important in my book: FUN!!!!




I am really in love with using my Reminders app on my iPhone, to create lists for daily, weekly, monthly support options, and more. Then I schedule them in, set reminders for myself, and use a widget on my home screen to remind me to reference it often. This is one of the super intentional ways I have chosen to utilize technology to support ME, not the other way around. <33


However you like - written lists, app reminders, or something else - I absolutely recommend you take step #2:


Set up a system that feels exciting, easeful, and supportive that reminds you of what YOU chose YOU wanted to do, FOR YOU this month !!!


A system you will see, interact with, and feel accountability to, daily.
