The Wisdom of the Winter Solstice

The Winter Solstice is the “shortest day of the year” in the sense that there is the least amount of sunlight on this day, than every other day in the 365-day year…
In ancient cultures, this day was incredibly significant for many reasons.
In my ancient Irish & Celtic ancestors’ time, the Winter Solstice was celebrated for several days as the sun “stood still in the sky.”
From an Earth-based perspective, this time is considered a pause - a time outside of time - a time of deep rest, hibernation, & surrender.
It is the time when the night is the longest - the darkness is greater than on any other day in the entire year.
As we choose to mirror nature - to pause. To stand still. Slow down.
To rest, surrender into the darkness…
TO STOP.
We can begin to understand the mystery, the magic, the comfort of the darkness.
WE CAN REST IN THE WOMB OF THE UNIVERSE.
This space where all of life is birthed.
All that is created originates from.
This space of INFINITE POTENTIAL.
And this space of INFINITE NOURISHMENT.
We can return home to where we came from.
Remember where we never left.
And become present to the infiniteness that is always surrounding us, breathing us, moving and expressing through us.
WE CAN EXPERIENCE HOME.
And we can remember, life is in the stillness. The in-between. The being-ness…
WE ARE STILLNESS.
WE ARE PEACE.
WE ARE INFINITE.
Just like the darkness of the universe.
And we return to the infinite wisdom: darkness is safety. Darkness is home. Darkness is infinite potential.
We can CLAIM our birthright of peace. Of safety. Of stillness. Of simply BEING.
YOU ARE ENOUGH.
BEING YOU IS ENOUGH.
ALLOW THE UNIVERSE TO HOLD YOU THIS WINTER SOLSTICE.
Remember how infinitely loved, held, & supported that you are.
Remember how worthy you are OF REST. OF STILLNESS. OF BEING HELD. OF BEING ACCEPTED UNCONDITIONALLY.
Allow nature, in her cyclical rhythm at the time of Winter Solstice, invite you into the mystery, magic, and infinite potential OF YOU.
Much love,
Jenna
