Where Is My Contribution Most Potent?

If you’re experiencing anything like I have been, you’re wondering to yourself, “What can I do to help make this world a better place?”

After pondering this question for some time now, and finding various ways to do so, I am currently contemplating: “Where is my contribution most potent?”

There are MANY options available to me: Vote (when there are elections). Nonprofit volunteer. Join another activism organization. Participate more in the organizations I am already involved in. Participate in a local club. Share positive inspiration with others. Meditate. Etc…!!

Something I know confidently from the spiritual & energetic work I’ve learned & done within myself, is that the inner work we do is ALWAYS the most important… The inner work that helps us move closer to love, to BE LOVE more, to BE the energy of love, compassion, and spiritual power on Earth - this is how we very literally contribute to making the world a more LOVING, KIND, SAFE place…

AND, what is also incredibly clear to me, is that we also MUST ACT - in the ways we feel called to, at the times that are for our highest good as well as for those we impact…

We live in an energetic reality, yes - energy is the foundation of EVERYTHING.

We also live in a physical world - a world where we are in a human body & physical reality too.

And so, it is important for me to ACT out my loving energy.

To BE AND DO compassion.

To act physically in alignment with my inner values, beliefs, and convictions.

To EMBODY love.

And I have a vision of a world that is filled with love, compassion, and humanity living in harmony with nature (among many other things).

And I also know there is a LOT of chaos, upheaval, and suffering in today’s world…

And I don’t know about you, but I feel called to DO MORE.

And so, I am pondering - “Where is my contribution most potent?”

I know I cannot do everything.

I also know that I MUST keep myself filled. Healthy. Grounded. Spiritually connected. Nourished.

In order for me to have the most powerful & positive impact that I can have.

I believe when we fill ourselves first and give from overflow, THIS is when we can have the most significant impact…

And so, it is vitally important to ME, to ponder on where & how I can contribute in the way that only I can - in the way that is the most potent toward a positive future - in the way my soul is calling me to contribute now.

If you are feeling a similar call, know that you are not alone.

And, I believe, there IS a way that you can contribute - in a way that only YOU can - in a way that best utilizes your unique gifts, time, energy, and life purpose.

What I want to leave you with is a resource list of practices you can turn - and return - to, to keep your center again & again regardless of external circumstances. This list is of course not exhaustive!

  • Meditation: There are SO many styles of meditation, meditation apps, etc. I’ve explored many & love utilizing them at different times!)

  • Breath: Simply tuning into my breath is a powerful grounding technique. You can also explore types of breath work and breathing to ground yourself!

  • Movement: Going on walks. Running. Stretching. Tai Chi. Yoga. Dancing!

  • Nature: Neighborhood walks. Going to a park. Botanical garden. Hiking. Watching a nature documentary. Looking at pictures of nature! Listening to the sounds of nature. Etc.

  • Music: Calming music. Meditation music. Music at different frequencies to support things like sleeping, cleansing energy, calm, etc. Uplifting music! Music you like to dance to!

  • Dance Party: Have a solo dance party! Putting on music that inspires me to dance around my room or home is one of the quickest mood boosters I know!

  • Reading/Listening: Books that inspire & uplift you. Books by spiritual teachers/leaders. Books that educate & inspire you. Books that help you escape & experience your joy! (Tip: if your library gives you access to a resource such as Libby or Hoopla, you may be able to get access to free eBooks & audiobooks!!)

  • Caring for Your Self & Body: Massage therapy. Acupuncture. EFT (emotional freedom technique) Tapping (Tapping Solution is a great app for this!). Qi Gong. Energy work. Chiropractic. Sauna. REST. Sleep. Slowing down where possible. Prioritizing yourself even more. Etc.

What I have learned, is that what I need in the moment & in my life varies daily, weekly, monthly, etc. I regularly check in with my self & my body about what I need, when I need it, and what systems I can put in place in my life to help me regularly support my self.

I have hope & belief in a better world - a world of more love. More compassion. More freedom for all.

I believe every time someone embodies unconditional love & peace more, the love & peace on this planet grows…

I also believe that what we must ACT in the areas we are called, to collectively co-create a better future.

My intention is to contribute to humanity & Earth in the way that is the most potent, in the ways I was born to do so - today, this year, and for the rest of my life.

How are you being called to contribute?

Much love,

Jenna

I acknowledge the Chumash indigenous peoples upon whose ancestral lands I reside. I recognize the trauma and oppression they’ve experienced through colonialism and honor their resilience and presence through current day. I am grateful to the Chumash people for nurturing this land for millennia, which spans the California coast from Malibu to San Luis Obispo and the Channel Islands. I recognize the value of their ancestral wisdom today and commit to supporting the Chumash people and the preservation of their culture and Šmuwič language.
